TYPE R PEERLESS BATTERY MOTOR
1915-1920
The Type R Peerless Battery Motor was made from 1915-1920 by the Lionel Manufacturing Co. This at first was powered by a dry cell battery and then by a toy transformer as electricity became more available. This has a red fiberboard reversing switch for two direction operation. It also was capable of two speed operation through the different gearing. One end of the axle has a belt drive spool and the other end has a 2″ brass gear.
It was used for powering toy oil derricks, Ferris Wheels, carousels, other early toys, as well as small shop equipment. The black base measures about 5″ long, 2 1/4″ wide, and 2 1/4″ high. This is a very early Lionel accessory and sold for $2.50!

No. 48W WHISTLE STATION
1937 – 1942
Lionel produced the 48W Whistle station from 1937-1942. This station has lithographed walls and roof with a red base. The roof is removable to service the whistle. There is a momentary switch on one side of the building to activate the whistle. The opposite side of the building has two terminal posts to connect the transformer. The 48W measures 5 1/2″ wide, 3 3/4″ deep, and 3 3/4″ high. It was and O gauge item.

No. 93 WATER TOWER
1936
The #93 Water Tank was produced by Lionel from 1931-1942 and 1946-1949. This one dates to 1936. This water tank stands about 8 1/2″ tall and there were many different variations of this water tank over the years it was produced. This one has a red base, aluminum painted tower, tank, and pipe as well as a black spout. The decal is outlined in black and the lettering is red. Most towers had a decal but not all variations.

No. 127 STATION
1936
Lionel produced the O gauge 127 station from 1923 to 1936. This station dates to 1936. The station measures 8 1/2′ wide, 4 1/4″ deep, and 5″ high. Lionel produced many different color combinations of this lighted station. This station has a Mojave base, white walls, peacock door and window frames, yellow window inserts, and two nickel Lioneltown signs.

No. 442 LANDSCAPED DINER
1938
Lionel produced the O gauge 442 Landscaped Diner from 1938-1942. This one dates to 1938. The 610 Pullman body and roof were used, a fiberboard foundation and pressed board base, as well as paper board and wood steps. Shrubbery consisted of a curved hedge and one small tree at each end. “Eat” and “Diner” were rubber stamped in the place of “610′ and “Pullman”. A paper label is attached to the base. A few different color combinations exist. This one has ivory walls, red doors, windows, and plates, a light red roof, silver lettering, a pink foundation and steps, and a tan base. The diner measures 10 1/2″ wide, 5 1/2″ deep, and 3 1/2″ high.
