Lionel No. 127 Station
General Information
The Lionel No. 127 “Lioneltown” Station was introduced in 1923 and was cataloged through 1936. The No. 127 Station is constructed of steel with walls embossed to represent clapboard siding. The station has a center door and two arched windows on the front and rear walls and two horizontal windows and a small round vent window under each gable on the side walls. There is a brass plate with “Lioneltown” above both doors. Some late stations have a nickel plate. The front and rear sides of the building and the two ends are identical. The station has a peaked roof with a chimney on each end. The components of the station are painted a variety of colors resulting in a large number of variations of the No. 127 Station. The chimneys on early stations are lithographed with a red brick pattern. The chimneys on later stations are painted.
The No. 127 Station is illuminated by a single bulb. The underside of the station is stamped “No. 127 Station – Made by the Lionel Corporation, New York” in black. The base of the station measures 8 ½-inches by 4 3/8-inches and the height of the station is 4 ¾-inches.
The following is a listing of representative variations of the No. 127 Station. Other variations exist. It is not possible to date individual variations of the No. 127 Stations issued by Lionel.

2. No. 127 Station with mustard walls, light gray base, maroon roof, red litho chimneys, wood grain doors, dark green door and window trim, apple green vent windows and apple green window inserts.
3. No. 127 Station with cream walls, mojave base, red roof, red litho chimneys, red doors, pea green door and window trim, pea green vent windows and yellow window inserts.

Lionel No. 137 Station
General Information
The Lionel No. 137 “Lioneltown” Station was introduced in 1937 and was cataloged through 1942. Left over inventory was also carried over to the postwar period. The No. 137 Station is constructed of steel with walls embossed to represent clapboard siding. The station has a center door and two arched windows on the front and rear walls and two horizontal windows and a small round vent window under each gable on the side walls. There is a nickel plate with “Lioneltown” above both doors. The front and rear sides of the building and the two ends are identical. The station has a peaked roof with a chimney on each end. The walls of the station are painted either cream or ivory.
The No. 137 Station is identical to the No. 127 Station with the exception that in addition to being illuminated, the No. 137 Station is equipped with a train stop circuit. The base has three terminal connections to power the interior light and the train stop circuit. The underside of the station is stamped “No. 137 Station – Made by the Lionel Corporation, New York” in black. The base of the station measures 8 ½-inches by 4 3/8-inches and the height of the station is 4 ¾-inches.
