Lionel No. 902 Gondola Cars
General Information
The Lionel No. 902 Gondola Cars were introduced in 1927 and were issued through 1934. The No. 902 Gondola Cars have a four-wheel frame. The No. 902 Gondola Cars measure 6 1/2-inches in length. The gondola car bodies were always painted a single color and had a black frame. The gondola cars all have brass trim and brass identification plates with the number and “Lionel Lines”. The gondola cars all have latch couplers.
Variations of the No. 902 Gondola Cars include different body color and nickel, copper or no journals. The earliest gondolas have lubrication stickers on the underside.
