Lionel No. 811 Flat Cars

General Information

The Lionel No. 811 Flat Cars were introduced in 1926 and were issued through 1942. The No. 811 Flat Cars always had manual couplers. The No. 811 Flat Cars measure 9-inches in length. The flat car bodies were always painted a single color. The flat cars all have “The Lionel Lines” rubber stamped on the sides of the car and the number rubber stamped on the underside.

Variations of the No. 811 Flat Cars include different body color; brass or nickel trim; brass or nickel stakes; and nickel, copper or black journals. Early flat cars had a single piece simulated lumber wood load. Late flat cars had ten individual pieces of square lumber. Some of the early flat cars have a lubrication sticker on the underside. Early flat cars have latch couplers. Late flat cars have early style manual box couplers.

The flat cars have nickel trim, nickel stakes, and nickel journals. The flat cars have early style operating box couplers.

There are no variations to the No. 2811 Flat Cars.
