GENERAL INFORMATION

ACTIVATOR TRIPS
Two of these trips were used by both the No. 54 BALLAST TAMPER and the No. 55 TIE – JECTOR. One to turn on tamping or the tie throwing feature of the unit and one to turn it off
The No. 3360 BURRO CRANE came with one.  It would reverse the unit
The one on the left is pre 1958 and the one on the right is 1958 and after, notice the difference needed to work on SUPER O track.
The trip would pivot using the lever to a position near the track for use with the units and then out of the way for clearance for other trains.
