Lionel No. 435 Power Station
General Information
The Lionel No. 435 Power Station was introduced in 1926 and was cataloged through 1938. The No. 435 Power Station was designed to fit over a Lionel Prewar Type A or Type B Transformer. The power station has a door in the front and back with three arched windows on each side. There is a brass plate with “Power Station” above both doors. The power station has a flat roof with cornice edges, chimney and removable skylight. The components of the metal building are painted a variety of colors resulting in a large number of variations of the No. 435 Power Station.
The underside of the power station is stamped “No. 435 Power Station – Made by the Lionel Corporation, New York” in black. Early versions were stamped “No. 435 Power House”. The base of the power station measures 7 ½-inches by 6-inches. The height of the building is 5 ½-inches. The overall height of the power station, including the chimney, is 9 ¾-inches.

Lionel No. 435 Power Station
1. No. 435 Power Station with mustard walls, gray base, terra cotta roof cornices, pea green skylight, red chimney, mojave chimney base, wood grain doors, dark green door and window trim and pea green window inserts. Underside stamped “No. 435 Power House”.
2. No. 435 Power Station with cream walls, gray base, terra cotta roof cornices, pea green skylight, red chimney, mojave chimney base, dark red doors, pea green door and window trim and orange window inserts.
3. No. 435 Power Station with yellow walls, bright green base, mustard roof cornices, red skylight, silver chimney, red chimney base, ivory doors, red door and window trim and ivory window inserts.

Lionel No. 436 Power Station
General Information
The Lionel No. 436 Power Station was introduced in 1926 and was cataloged through 1937. The No. 436 Power Station was similar to, but larger than, the No. 435 Power Station and was designed to fit over a Lionel Prewar Type C, Type K or Type T Transformer. The power station has a door and three narrow windows in the front and back with three arched windows on each side. There is a brass plate with “Power Station” above both doors. The power station has a flat roof with cornice edges, chimney and removable skylight. The components of the metal building are painted a variety of colors resulting in a large number of variations of the No. 436 Power Station.
The underside of the power station is stamped “No. 436 Power Station – Made by the Lionel Corporation, New York” in black. The base of the power station measures 9 1/8-inches by 7 5/8-inches. The height of the building is 6 1/4-inches. The overall height of the power station, including the chimney, is 10 1/2-inches.
