Lionel No. 1815 Steam Locomotive

General Information

The No. 1815 0-4-0 Steam Locomotive was offered by Lionel in the 1931 and 1932 Ives Catalogs. The engine utilized a sheet metal boiler, cab, frame, steam chest, boiler front and pilot. The locomotive boiler, cab and steam chest are painted black. The frame and pilot are painted dark red. The locomotive has copper trim. The locomotive has a simulated headlight located in the center of the boiler front. The No. 1815 Locomotive has no reverse and runs in one direction only.

The No. 1815 Steam Locomotive was paired with a No. 1815T 4-Wheel Tender. The No. 1815T Tender has a black sheet metal body with lithographed sides. The tender has a red insert on the sides marked “Ives R.R. Lines”. The 1815T Tender has a hook and slot coupler. The No. 1815 / 1815T Steam engine and tender combined measure 11-inches in total length.
