Lionel No. 2672 Cabooses
General Information
The Lionel No. 2672 Pennsylvania N5 Caboose was introduced in 1941 and was issued through 1942. The No. 2672 Cabooses always had operating couplers. The No. 2672 Cabooses measure 6 1/2-inches in length. The caboose has a Tuscan brown body, roof and cupula with white lettering for “Pennsylvania” and other information. The caboose does not have a stack or a toolbox. The underframe of the caboose, trim and journals are black. The number is usually rubber stamped in white on the underside of the car. The caboose is not illuminated.
The No. 2672 Cabooses were issued with either one or two late style operating box couplers. When issued with two couplers, the cabooses were designated as No. 2672X.
Lionel No. 2672 Cabooses
1. No. 2672 Pennsylvania N5 Caboose in Tuscan brown with Tuscan brown roof and cupula (1941-1942). The cars have one late style operating box coupler.
2. No. 2672X Pennsylvania N5 Caboose in Tuscan brown with Tuscan brown roof and cupola (1941-1942). The cars have two late style operating box couplers.
Lionel No. 2757 Cabooses
General Information
The Lionel No. 2757 Pennsylvania N5 Caboose was introduced in 1941 and was issued through 1942. The No. 2757 Cabooses always had operating couplers. The No. 2757 Cabooses measure 6 1/2-inches in length. The caboose has a Tuscan brown body, roof, cupula and stack with white lettering for “Pennsylvania” and other information. The caboose windows have red trim and there is a translucent plastic window insert in both the car and cupula windows. The underframe of the caboose, trim and journals are black. The caboose has a metal toolbox attached to the underside of the frame. The number is rubber stamped in white on the underside of the car. The cabooses are illuminated.
The No. 2757 Cabooses were issued with either one or two late style operating box couplers. When issued with two couplers, the cabooses were designated as No. 2757X.
